RE: So come on then, whose going to Sonar this year?

Well, it seems someone couldn't resist the pissing contest 'eh? And with a snide comment to boot! Oh well. Here we go...hehe.

It ain't myopia. It's where I live (and I'm hardly ameri-centric). Can't speak for the rest of the world but the statement is fact from where I sit and considering the exchange rates it's waaaay cheaper for me. having been to barcelona (and thought about moving there) both during fest and not, I can say that city's best visited sans fest. Won't argue THAT point though. The general consensus from last years sonar was that it was a good show. Ritchie sucked (he tried though), Jeff Mills got everyone for their dough with those gold joints, and lots of the lineup was click-no knockoffs trying to be herbert or akufen or something (mind you 90% of the lineup was excellent, just making a point about the really surprising things).

And to be honest, I'd much rather take my " Iberican spirit and sun" in everyday life. And I never really minded partying in a bit of "concrete and drama". Things tend to get a little too glossy and slick for me with too much of the former <cough> WMC <cough>. To each his own though. I was really trying to bring up the subject in a lighthearted manner because no one had mentioned it yet (that I saw). And in the future, keep those snide axss remarks about american myopia to yourself. Makes you look like...well... See you next Tuesday. :)

Oh and I may be Grand, but I'm not THAT old!
